“Your Renewable Energy Source”

Cedarville, Mich. -
“We have doubled our staff in the last year,” said Mike McMaken of Green Energy Solutions. “Business is booming.” McMaken opened Green Energy Solutions in April of 2009, he figures over the last year the company has installed around 30 systems specializing in solar panels, wind turbines and solar hot water heaters. He is anticipating that 2010 will be even bigger with his range expanding down to Grayling in the northern Lower Peninsula and encompassing a large swath of northern Wisconsin, all the way to Superior. “There's nobody that's doing what we're doing,” he said. “We're able to actually tell people what we can give them with solar power.”
McMaken added that another new thing his company is installing come in the form of a solar pumping
system which is ideal for cabins, golf courses and operations that require 600 to 800 gallons of water a day. In addition to his carpentry and alternative power businesses, McMaken has spent many years fishing various professional walleye circuits. He has taken it a step farther for the upcoming season starting a new Pro Staff adding professional anglers Tom “Doc” Johnson and Marianne Huskey.
“We will be promoting the new solar panel that will be added to our tournament boats to maintain a battery charge,” said Huskey. “These small solar units are the same size as a Lowrance HDS 10, and can be moved to reach maximum exposure of UV rays.”
McMaken said these new devices will allow anglers to power their electric trolling motors, fish finders and radios as they fish.
